Installation Instructions for Barracuda Directory Script:

- Download latest version of Barracuda from http://www.boonex.com/download/barracuda/
- Unzip it
- Create folder where you plan to install your directory e.g. 'dir' if you want your directory to be at http://www.yoursite.com/dir
- Upload all files to folder for directory

Note: If you want to install directory into the root folder of your site then DO not create any folder and installation path will be http://www.yoursite.com/install

Now you are ready to start installation
1) Via ftp client set permissions 777 (chmod 777 name_of_folder) to the following folders and files:
/folder_where_directory_is_to_be_installed e.g. /dir
/inc

After installation, set back permissions to the following folder:
chmod 755
/inc

2)Set main parameters of the directory. To do that in your web browser enter the following path http://www.yoursite.com/folder_for_your_directory/install

Fill out with appropriate info the following:

1. path to directory - this is a path to root of your directory used on server. e.g. /yoursite/www/dir/
2. url to main site - this is URL for your main site e.g. http://www.yoursite.com
3. url to directory - this is URL for your directory e.g. http://www.yoursite.com/dir (If you plan to use the directory at the root URL then put URL of your main site)
4. Site name - Name of your directory
5. Directory Name - Name of your directory
6. Directory index page Title - Title of the main page of your directory
7. Directory index page Description - Description of the main page of your directory
8. Bug report email - email where you want bug reports to be send
9. Site email Sender- email from which you want to send notifications from directory
10. Site email Receipt - email to which you would like to receive emails from directory members
11. Admin password - your admin access password

3) set parameters of your database
1. Database Host. Usually 'localhost'. If not sure contact your hosting provider.
2. Database Socket. Usually '/tmp/mysql.sock'. If not sure contact your hosting provider.
3. Database Port. Usually '3306'. If not sure contact your hosting provider.

4. Database User. User of database. You will need to create database user, password and database yourself via control panel of your hosting account. If you

are not sure how to do that contact your hosting provider support.

5. Database Password. See above
6. Database Name. See above

4) Press 'Install'
5) Make sure to change back permissions mentioned in point #1
6) Delete /install directory with all files therein
